I think the Guardian got it right when they chimed in about Miike Snow saying that their, “coolly emotional pop suggests a-ha meets Animal Collective.” Pretty spot on if you ask me. These boys from Stockholm have come out swinging in the remix ring over the past few ears remixing the likes of Passion Pit, Peter, Bjorn and John, and The Kings of Leon, just to name a few. But to me, their power lies in their original material.

Like any good band, they joined forces for the sake of the music. Isn’t that how all good bands start? Music first, money and fame second? Anyways, take a listen to Silvia and tell me what you think its about. I’m having a hard time pinning this one down. Is it a forgotten love? Someone he cheated on? He talks about Silvia in the present and past tense, so that throws me for a loop.

Any ideas?
