Lush, full and mellow are the only way to describe Snow in Mexico’s song “You and my winter”. I love the way his vocals seem to float across the musical landscape. And they do so with minimal melody or effort. It’s brilliant. So, sit back and fire one up.

I am a bit late to the game on this one, but loving this tune. Massive.
When I listen to this, I feel like taking off my shoes, walking through Central Park, and greeting everyone I cross paths with. I’d probably get hit before I made it to the East side, but it’d be worth a shot, right? Seriously though, it’s the kind of song that makes me wish I’d taken singing lessons when I was young. Because now, I’m hopeless…

It’s summer. But damn, I feel like winter, right now.

Like a piece of hot bacon, these boys are greased to become a mainstay in your summer play-list from here on out. The song is not new by any means, but it’s just as good as the first time I heard it. Peace-sizzle (get it the bacon joke? see how I bring shit full circle? Ace!) until next time.

If groups like A-Ha, The Buggles, Hall & Oates, and pretty much any other 80’s synth band is your schtick, then this track by the Russian group Tesla Boy is right up your alley. Give it a listen and tell me you don’t want to get all Molly Ringwald on that ass.
Dunno about you, but this song makes me want to throw on a pair of acid-washed jeans, neon Chuck Taylor’s with the fat laces of course, a Members Only jacket, a slew of jelly bracelets, and watch every John Hughes (RIP) movie ever made. Oh, if I was wearing a mood ring, it’d be fuckin’ glowing right about now.

Released on the Italians Do It Better label, Glass Candy’s Computer Love is one of the strongest tracks off the After Dark (2007) comp for me. Her sultry voice smokes across the laid back vibe. It’s chilly, chill-tastic. Sit back, grab a glass or vino, kick your feet up, close your eyes and start counting binary—computer love!
